The Latin American Space Challenge provides a vibrant and engaging environment supported by professional event infrastructure, including emergency services, launch facilities, and dedicated areas to ensure a safe and memorable experience for everyone involved.

Our staff and volunteers work tirelessly throughout the year to deliver this world-class event for students, sponsors, and spectators. Even if a team is not prepared to launch an experimental rocket or satellite, there are still valuable opportunities to present their projects and represent their institutions.

To make this extraordinary experience possible, funding is essential. Given the costs of delivering a comprehensive event, specific fees are applied within the LASC ecosystem and are detailed in the following sections and in the Section 2 - Tickets, Fees, and Payments (PSP) of the Event Guidance and Milestones (EGM).

Payment Methods

In 2025, the Space Challenge uses Stripe for secure, fast, and seamless payments. Please complete all required fields, including team name, to ensure smooth processing. The following methods are accepted by Stripe: Credit and Debit Cards, Apple Pay, and Google Play.

For Brazilian Teams, the Space Challenge provides an additional payment method with discount called PIX. The PIX payment method is a specific system created by the Brazilian Central Bank to facilitate transactions across the country. Please read the section "Paying with PIX".

All teams with at least one Selected Mission, regardless of tier or number of missions submitted, must purchase only one Team Ticket based on the highest-complexity mission. Pricing for each mission category is as follows:

• Type A - $500: Teams with at least one mission in hybrid or liquid rocket propulsion, or 3,000m apogee with solid rocket propulsion.

• Type B - $375: Teams with at least one mission in 1,000m apogee with solid rocket propulsion.

• Type C - $300: Teams with at least one mission in 500m apogee with solid rocket propulsion.

• Type D - $200: Teams with at least one CubeSat, PocketQube, or CanSat satellite project.

Examples:

1. A team with three missions (1,000m apogee with solid rocket propulsion, CubeSat, PocketQube/CanSat) pays $375.

2. A team with one CubeSat mission pays $200.

3. A team with two missions (3,000m apogee with solid rocket propulsion, CubeSat) pays $500.

All team members willing to officially participate in the event shall purchase a Rocketeer & Satelliteer Ticket. This ticket includes access to the event and specific restricted areas, a kit containing a badge, lanyard and a promotional t-shirt, and a digital certificate of participation.

• Rocketeer/Satelliteer Ticket: 35 USD

• “Late” Rocketeer/Satelliteer Ticket: 70 USD

The deadline for on-time or late tickets can be found in the Section 1 — Master Schedule (MSC) of the Event Guidance and Milestones (EGM).

A participant holding a valid Rocketeer/Satelliteer Ticket may request a full refund within 7 (seven) calendar days from the date of purchase. To do so, the participant must contact the LASC Staff by emailing lasc@lasc.space with the subject line: “Rocketeer/Satelliteer Ticket – Refund”. Refund processing may take up to 30 (thirty) calendar days.

Team Ticket:

The Team Ticket can be paid by PIX. Please use the following CNPJ key of the company PION Labs Engenharia Ltda. to pay for the Team Ticket.

In good faith to reduce currency conversion, taxes and spread, LASC applied a 5% discount for all tickets paid with PIX. The following discounted prices apply for the PIX payment:

• Team Ticket Type A = R$ 2,588.75

• Team Ticket Type B = R$ 1,941.56

• Team Ticket Type C = R$ 1,553.25

• Team Ticket Type D = R$ 1,035.50

Rocketeer & Satelliteer Ticket:

In good faith to reduce currency conversion, taxes and spread, LASC applied a discount for all tickets paid with PIX. The Rocketeer & Satelliteer Ticket costs R$ 179,00 using PIX as payment method.

You can pay more than one ticket at the same time, just multiply the discounted value by the number of tickets to be purchased!

⚠️ All teams and rocketeers/satelliteers that use PIX as payment method must send an email to lasc@lasc.space with the title "2025 LASC PIX Payment - {Mission ID}", where you can use just one of your Mission ID, with the following information: Full Name, CPF, Mobile Number, E-mail, Address, Team Name, all related Mission IDs, Proof of Payment and T-Shirt Size (P, M, L or XL). If you have paid for more than one participant, you can still send just one e-mail with the information of all participants.

All non-identified payments will be reimbursed after 7 (seven) days and penalties may be applied.
