Specific Event Location Details

The Latin American Space Challenge takes place in Iacanga (SP), Brazil. The main venues are: the Ginásio Beira Rio for the LASC Conference on Day 1 and the Award Ceremony on the evening of Day 4; and the Sugarcane Launch Range (SLR), which will host launch operations on Days 2, 3, and 4.

Traveling to Iacanga (SP) by Air

LASC highly recommend all participants stay in Iacanga, Bauru (SP) or surrounding cities. The nearest international commercial airports are Viracopos International Airport (VCP) and São Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport (GRU).

From GRU, Iacanga is a five-hour drive on BR-374 - Rodovia Castelo Branco and SP-300 - Rodovia Marechal Rondon. Participants need to secure their own ground transportation during the event. The organizers are unable to provide shuttle services to and from planned activities at this time.

Traveling to the Iacanga & SLR from Bauru

There is one main route to the SLR from Bauru and surrounding areas. The route takes about forty minutes on SP-321 - Rodovia Cezário José de Castilho.

Other potential routes that can be indicated by Google Maps, Waze or other app any be closed due to the road blockages to the event.
