2023 LASC Overview

The 2023 Latin American Space Challenge will be composed of two challenges: the Rocket Challenge and the Satellite Challenge. The main objective of LASC is to maximize the teams that develop satellites to fly on its sounding rockets. The event will take place at the Cape Canavial from August 24 to 27, 2023. In total, 89 teams and 145 missions were selected to compete in the 2023 LASC.

In 2023, 13 countries will be represented at the Latin American Space Challenge: Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, India, Mexico, Pakistan, Paraguay, Peru, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan and Turkey. The 145 missions were divided into 102 rockets and 43 satellites. We have a new record of accepted teams!

In the Rocket Challenge, LASC accepted 22 missions in the 0.5 km - Solid Motors, 34 in the 1 km - Solid Motors, 4 in the 1 km - Hybrid/Liquid, 33 in the 3 km - Solid Motors and 9 missions in the 3 km - Hybrid/Liquid.

In the Satellite Challenge, LASC accepted 23 missions in the PocketQube/CanSat category and 20 in the CubeSat category.
